Liquid Nitrogen Demonstration

The 8th grade students had a "treat" today! Mr. Erlien from AIR PRODUCTS visited our class. He talked with us about the uses for liquid Nitrogen. His presentation was fabulous. I would say that the students' favorite part was eating the LIN CREAM!!! Thank you for an interesting and educational introduction to our next chapter! Ask your student about our day today!

It was a busy week of labs! The 8th graders completed the experiments that they designed to test three brands of a product. Their objective was to determine which brand they would recommend. The 7th graders learned how to use microscopes. They viewed plant and animal cells under the microscope. It was fun to watch students' confidence blossom as they became comfortable using a microscope. I love watching when connections are made between book knowledge and practical skills. The 6th graders created topographic maps. Well done this week!
